Lounge Sets Womens Two 2 Piece Matching

We knit this two-piece set in a soft nutmeg yarn, pairing a loose crew-neck pullover with wide-leg pants. The top hangs away from the torso with dropped raglan sleeves and split sides, while the trousers pull on over an elastic waist. Both pieces share the same dye lot so the color matches end to end.

What we would tell you in the studio

  • Crew top construction. The top is built with a round crew neckline, button detailing, and low raglan armholes that give the sleeves an easy hang. Side slits let the hem settle freely around the hips without catching.
  • Wide knit trousers. We gave the pants a high-rise elastic waistband that pulls on flat without hardware. The legs fall straight and wide to the floor, using the weight of the knit to keep a steady drape while walking.
  • Nutmeg yarn hand. The yarn is spun with enough stretch to rebound after a full day of sitting. The nutmeg tone is a muted, warm brown knitted in a uniform medium gauge that feels smooth directly against bare skin.
  • Washing and shape. Hand wash in cold water or use a gentle machine cycle with mild soap. Lay both the sweater and trousers flat on a towel to dry so the wet knit does not stretch out of shape on a hanger.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

Skip

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
