Lounge Sets Womens Two 2 Piece Matching

We knit this two-piece set from a soft stretch yarn with a speckled pattern. The top is cut loose with dropped raglan sleeves and a plain crew neck, while the matching trousers pull on with an elastic waistband. Both pieces hang away from the body for an easy drape.

What we would tell you in the studio

  • Crew top and buttons. The pullover features a round crew neck, neat button detailing, and side slits at the hip hem. Dropped raglan seams allow the long sleeves to hang freely without pulling across the shoulders.
  • Wide knit trousers. We matched the top with pull-on knit trousers finished with a wide waistband. The legs fall straight and loose down to the hem, holding an even drape through the knit.
  • Speckled knit yarn. The Whitedot Black yarn combines dark and pale strands across the surface for a textured look. The stitch has natural stretch that relaxes slightly through wear while keeping its shape.
  • Washing and drying. Wash this set by hand or on a gentle cycle in cold water using mild detergent. Lay both pieces flat on a clean towel to dry rather than hanging them on hangers.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

Skip

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
