What we would tell you in the studio

  • Stripes and pocket. Light blue yarns set the base for the horizontal striping across the body and sleeves. We knit a small patch pocket on the left chest, matching the yarn gauge so it sits flat without pulling the front down.
  • Neckline and sleeves. The crewneck sits close to the collarbone with a narrow band of ribbed trim. Full-length sleeves finish with matching ribbed cuffs that keep the extra room in the arms gathered lightly above the wrist.
  • Straight loose drape. A wide body cut leaves space between the knit and your skin. The hem drops straight past the waist without clinging, settling easily over denim, slip skirts, or heavier winter trousers.
  • Washing and storage. Hand wash in cold water or dry clean to keep the light blue yarn crisp and clear. Reshape the body while damp, lay it flat on a drying rack away from heat, and fold rather than hang.
